Aibar is a municipality located in the Autonomous Community of Navarre, in the north of Spain. It is known for its winemaking tradition and for the production of high quality wines. Below you will find information about the wines of Aibar:
Aibar is located within the Navarra Designation of Origin, one of the most important and prestigious designations of origin in Spain.
In Aibar, as in the rest of Navarra, red wines are mainly produced with Garnacha, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. Some white and rosé wines are also produced.
Aibar wines stand out for their fruity flavour, balance and freshness. In addition, many of Aibar's wines are made using organic and sustainable agriculture techniques, which gives them added value for consumers who are looking for quality and environmentally friendly products.
Among Aibar's most outstanding wines are the young reds and crianza wines, which have been aged in oak barrels for a minimum period of time of six months. These wines are good value for money and are ideal to accompany Navarrese dishes, such as lamb with chilindrón, vegetable stew or Navarrese-style trout.
Aibar also hosts various festivals and events related to viticulture and oenology, such as the Grape Harvest Festival, which is held every year in September and includes wine tastings, visits to wineries and cultural and sporting activities related to the grape harvest.
High quality wines and oils, grown in Navarra, with the best of the Benedictine tradition and biodynamic philosophy.
