Baños de Río Tobía is a municipality in the autonomous region of La Rioja in northern Spain. It is at an altitude of 718 metres above sea level and has a population of around 1,300 inhabitants.
The name Baños de Río Tobía comes from its thermal waters, which have been used since Roman times for their curative properties. Nowadays, you can still enjoy these waters at the Arnedillo Spa, which is located about 15 minutes by car from the municipality.
In addition to its thermal waters, Baños de Río Tobía is also known for its cultural heritage. Highlights include the church of San Martín, which dates from the 16th century, and the Palacio de los Solís, a Renaissance building from the 17th century.
As for its natural surroundings, Baños de Río Tobía is located in an area of mountains and valleys that offer many possibilities for outdoor activities, such as hiking, climbing and mountain biking.
