Fuenmayor is a Spanish municipality located in the autonomous region of La Rioja, in northern Spain. It is located in the district of Logroño, at an altitude of 413 metres above sea level and has a population of around 3,500 inhabitants.
Fuenmayor is known for its wine production, as it is located in the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin area. In addition, the village has a number of wineries and wine cooperatives that offer guided tours and wine tastings for tourists.
Fuenmayor is also a good starting point for excursions to other places of interest in the region of Logroño, such as the city of Logroño, the Sierra de Cantabria mountain range or the Monastery of San Millán de la Cogolla, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The town also celebrates various festivals and events throughout the year, such as the Grape Harvest Festival in September and the San Juan Fair in June.
