WINERY PRESENTATION

"We, sisters Montserrat and Begoña Sauci, are the third generation of Bodegas Sauci, since our grandfather Fernando Sauci began the commercial activity of the wines he made in 1925.

However, the origins of our family's winemaking vocation can be traced back to France, when around 1780, a French family named Saussi settled in the area, dedicating themselves to vineyard care and winemaking. This tradition has been passed down from generation to generation, making our winery one of the oldest in the Condado de Huelva region.

Our father, Manuel Sauci, was one of the pioneers of bottling in the Condado de Huelva. In 1965, he launched Fino Espinapura, which remains one of our flagship and most awarded wines. Deeply in love with the aging process of fortified wines, especially biological aging under flor yeast, he passed on this passion and the meticulous care that quality wines require.

We are two women raised with a passion for wine and a deep dedication to its aging process, working to preserve and enhance our legacy while never forgetting our history.

Although we are also passionate about Fortified Wines, a category we continue to expand, we wanted to fight for what is traditional and unique to the Condado de Huelva, such as the Orange Wine, which led us to create our S’ Naranja, and the native Zalema grape from the Doñana region, used for our White Wines and a surprising Amontillado.

We are always looking for new challenges and love wine in general, which is why, a few years ago, we expanded our project to Red Wines, eventually launching our Sauci Tinto Crianza, a special red wine aged with fortified wines."
