Population: According to the National Institute of Statistics, in 2021 the population of Torrelavit was around 1,870 inhabitants.
Places of interest: Torrelavit is known for its vineyards and wine cellars. Some wineries you could visit are Can Ràfols dels Caus, which has a contemporary art museum, and Bodegas Albet i Noya, one of the first ecological wineries in Spain. You could also visit Torrelavit Castle, a medieval fortification dating from the 12th century.
Gastronomy: Torrelavit's gastronomy is a mixture of Mediterranean and Catalan cuisine, with a wide variety of typical dishes made with local and seasonal ingredients.
