PRESENTATION OF THE WINERY
Viña Los Boldos is a family winery located in the exceptional soils of the Cachapoal Andes Valley in Chile.
Our first vineyards were planted in 1936 in the town of Santa Amalia located in the municipality of Requínoa. Years later, in 1991, Viña Los Boldos was founded with the purpose of producing high-end wines, combining the extraordinary terroir of the Cachapoal Andes Valley and traditional French winemaking techniques.
Later, in 2008, Viña Los Boldos became part of the Sogrape Group, an important Portuguese company with its own production presence and distribution in all continents.
It is one of Chile's traditional winegrowing areas, which is emerging strongly in the international market for its exceptional quality and the unique character of its wines.
The Cachapoal Valley is located in central Chile and belongs to the sixth Region of Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins. Located 100 km south of Santiago, this valley receives its name from the Cachapoal River, which crosses the province from east to west.
Our vineyards are located in the regulated zone of the Andes, within the Cachapoal Valley, legitimately recognizing the enormous influence of the Andes Mountains on our grapes.
Thus, our exclusive location demonstrates the considerable influence of this great mountainous mass that is strongly present on the slopes that descend towards the interior plain, determining the climatic conditions and the wide thermal oscillations that constitute a factor of typicity in our wines.
Founded in 1994, the estate produces high-quality fine wines.
