Vine cultivation in Tremp and in the Pallars Jussà region, in general, is quite limited due to the climatic conditions of the area. However, there are small cultivation areas where some local grape varieties are produced. These include the Garnatxa and Tempranillo grapes, which are used to make quality red wines. Some white varieties are also grown, such as the Macabeo grape. Despite their limited production, the wines of the Tremp and Pallars Jussà area are of great quality and uniqueness, thanks to their unique climate and soils.
In the area of Les Garrigues, the Pons family creates, in a sustainable way, wines, oils and vinegars used by chefs from all over the world.
