The town of Doña Mencia is located in the province of Cordoba, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, in southern Spain. However, unlike what you mentioned, Doña Mencía is not known for its wines. In fact, there is no outstanding winemaking tradition in this locality.
Instead, Doña Mencía's economy is mainly based on agriculture and olive oil production, so you will find a wide variety of high quality olive oils produced in the area. Furthermore, in terms of gastronomy, you can enjoy typical Andalusian dishes such as salmorejo, gazpacho, oxtail or flamenquín. In terms of tourist attractions, Doña Mencía has a 13th-century castle and several interesting churches, such as the church of La Asunción and the church of San Pedro.
A very special winery for lovers of wine, culture and history. Besides, they have a family museum with archaeological remains and a beautiful monographic library about wine as a tasting room.
