Piedra Negra (Lurton) winery is in the wine region area of Mendoza

After a long search in several regions of Argentina, François Lurton decided to plant his vineyards on high (1,100 m) and semi-desert land (poor alluvial gravels reminiscent of those of Pessac-Léognan), on the plains at the foot of the Andes Mountains: the Uco Valley.
Thus, our pioneer of the Uco Valley built his winery, Bodega Piedra Negra, on 200 hectares of virgin land acquired in what a few years later would become the Los Chacayes Geographical Indication. Thanks to his experience, acquired all over the world, he immediately put into practice an environmentally friendly viticulture and produced extraordinary wines in this place.

Discover our vineyards in a self-taught way with the help of a map. You will be able to find the different points of interest to learn about the history of the winery and explanations about how we produce our wines. Finish the visit with a glass of wine on our terrace with an incredible view.

Field day

I spent a full day at Piedra Negra Winery. We will be waiting for you at 11 am for a guided tour + tasting. Then you can go horseback riding through our vineyards. Enjoy lunch in our barbecue area with panoramic view or a picnic in our garden. Finish your day with some delicious mates, a typical Argentinean drink, and a unique view in our terrace.

We start the tour on horseback from our winery to discover the path behind the vineyards and their exceptional varieties, located only 20 km from the Cordillera. At the end of the tour you can visit the winery facilities and request a tasting of Piedra Negra wines.
