In Barro, Pontevedra, the D.O. Rías Baixas wine is produced, especially the white wine made from the Albariño grape variety. This wine is usually paired with seafood, fish, rice dishes and other dishes of Galician gastronomy, such as empanadas, Galician octopus, lacón con grelos (pork shoulder with turnip tops), among others.
