Avellanosa de Muñó is a small municipality in the province of Burgos, located in the Ribera del Duero region. You can visit:
Church of San Pedro: This is the parish church of Avellanosa de Muñó and is dedicated to San Pedro. It was built in the 18th century and stands out for its Baroque façade and its neoclassical tower.
Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves: It is located on the outskirts of the village and was built in the 18th century. Inside you can admire a carving of the Virgen de las Nieves, patron saint of Avellanosa de Muñó.
Bridge of San Vicente: This is a bridge of medieval origin that crosses the river Arlanza. It was built in the 13th century and is one of the oldest bridges in the province of Burgos.
Vine and Wine Interpretation Centre: It is located in the building of the old cooperative winery in Avellanosa de Muñó and offers information on the history and culture of wine in the Ribera del Duero region.
Hiking routes: Avellanosa de Muñó is surrounded by a privileged natural environment, making it an ideal place for hiking and cycling routes. Some of the most popular routes are the route of the Hermitages, the Canal de Castilla route and the Ribera del Duero route.
Festivals: The most important festivals in Avellanosa de Muñó are held in honour of San Pedro and Nuestra Señora de las Nieves, on 29 June and 5 August, respectively. During these days there are processions, competitions and leisure activities for all ages.
