Wine tourism by town in Castellón

Castellón, good wine, mountain cuisine and wine festivals like only here in Valencia.

In the province of Castellón (Valencia), you will find four wineries to visit, all belonging to the wine route of Castellón, which extends over four locations. Among them, Les Useres is a wine tourism destination worth considering for its wine festivals and folklore. The native varieties of this area are Monastrell, Macabeo and Embolicaire. They have a traditional mountain cuisine, especially in the area of Les Useres. One of the most typical dishes of the area is the tombet, a kid stew, cooked over a slow fire. For dessert, you can choose from some of its famous sweets, such as coca with rooster, orelletes with honey or fritters. If you are touring the area, do not forget to visit the cave paintings of Valltorta, a World Heritage Site. Among the most relevant events of this route is the Les Useres Wine Fair, organized by the town council of this same town and by the wineries of the area since 2013. In it, you can approach the stands of these wineries to taste their wine, although there are also scheduled tastings, and art exhibitions related to the wine world. In addition, during these days, the Pilgrims' Museum opens its doors to the public. For moms and dads, the fair has an area reserved for the little ones.
