Frau Marion is a rural enterprise led by Rita Agüero, her husband, and a few collaborators in the Rinconada de Guacargue sector, in the O'Higgins Region of Chile.

The venture began as a response to the low prices paid for fresh fruit. "We decided to add value to our orange orchard," explains Rita Agüero. "This decision was inspired by my German ancestry—my mother—and the lessons she imparted."

A participant in INDAP’s Prodesal program, Rita Agüero showcases her flagship product, a concentrated orange syrup, at the ExpoMundoRural. This versatile syrup is used in both sweet and savory dishes, including pastries and drinks, and pairs well with pork. It is made with orange juice, orange zest, and sugar, and is a 100% natural flavoring.

At the ExpoMundoRural, held at the Parque Padre Alberto Hurtado in La Reina, Frau Marion features a range of products based on oranges, including syrups, jams, honey, and candied oranges, both with and without chocolate. The booth also offers tea essences.

Rita Agüero Werkmeister's products are available at the “Sabores del Campo” specialty store supported by INDAP, as well as in a delicatessen store in Las Condes. “I hope to offer my products in more gourmet stores, always aiming to improve and deliver the highest quality without using any chemical preservatives. In fact, people try my products and buy them,” she notes.

Carlos Felipe Vergara, Regional Director of INDAP O’Higgins, commented, “This is an example of how small agricultural enterprises make their way into the market with high-quality products, and the institution is committed to supporting them through its development and funding programs.”

The XVI ExpoMundoRural, organized by INDAP, takes place at Parque Alberto Hurtado in La Reina from October 29 to November 2. It features over 150 stands and more than 1,000 high-quality agricultural products, showcasing innovation in processed foods, crafts, vegetables, flowers, wines, and liqueurs.
