WINERY PRESENTATION
Encierra is located in Peralillo, Colchagua Valley, Chile, 200 kilometers southwest of Santiago and 40 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean.
While many elements are essential for producing high-quality wine, undoubtedly one of the most important factors is the people behind it.
Encierra belongs to the Eyzaguirre Echenique family, long-time vintners of the Colchagua Valley. María Ignacia Echenique, María Ignacia Eyzaguirre E., and Juan Carlos Eyzaguirre E. aim to position Encierra wines among the top wines in Chile, bringing to life a unique winemaking project with limited production.
To achieve this, they have entrusted the Executive Management of the company to María Ignacia Eyzaguirre, an agronomist and enologist from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, and Andrés Domínguez E., a business engineer responsible for the financial and commercial areas of the winery.
Encierra benefits from the enological expertise of Didier Debono, an agronomist and enologist from the University of Bordeaux.
