In the town of Leza, in the province of Álava, you'll find Lozano. Among the wines produced at this winery are those with the Rioja D.O. Additionally, this winery features a wine bar where you can enjoy wine at your leisure in the company of friends. Here, you can also pair their wines with local gastronomy. At the end of the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase wines at their physical store. If you wish to host a personalized event, this winery offers such services.

WINERY PRESENTATION

Rioja Alavesa is a unique enclave, a vineyard-filled landscape that has captivated us since 2018 with its idyllic surroundings. Nestled under the watchful gaze of the Sierra de Cantabria, this silent mountain range, with its peaks and forested slopes, has served as the backdrop for several novels by Pío Baroja.

Spanning 36.5 hectares of century-old vineyards with Tempranillo and Viura varieties, Lozano produces high-quality wines such as Lozano Selección de Orígenes and Montes de Leza, which have gained worldwide recognition.

The vineyard thrives thanks to its terroir: clay-limestone soils that challenge the vines' roots to dig deep, an average annual temperature of 12-13°C, and 500 mm of annual rainfall.

The grape reception, classification, and manual selection occur at the heart of an architectural marvel designed by Jimena Ruiz de Landa. This structure echoes the Sierra that protects us and the region's traditional "carasoles." This landscape-integrated architecture respects and incorporates the elements of the Rioja Alavesa region into its design.
