HISTORY OF THE WINERY
The label of our first wine, Ses Nines, features our mother as a child playing in the streets of her hometown, Consell, one of the traditional winegrowing villages in the Raiguer region.
That little girl, our mother, came from a family of farmers and inherited a small vineyard in Consell that was over 35 years old, exclusively planted with the local grape variety *Manto Negro* and cultivated in the traditional style, with “politxó” (goblet-trained vines). Thanks to this small plot of land with *Manto Negro* and the love and care our mother dedicated to it, she and the rest of the family—the Morey Garau family, all from Binissalem—became inspired by the idea of building a winery to produce our own wines. The idea gained momentum, and in 2004, the architectural project for the construction of Celler Tianna Negre began. With perseverance and passion, Celler Tianna Negre opened its doors to its first harvest in 2007.
Since our beginnings, we have been expanding the original vineyard, working organically across all our plots (2 hectares at Finca Biniagual, 4 hectares at Finca Es Pinaret, 5 hectares at Finca Son Colom, 10 hectares at Finca Can Parrona, 6 hectares at Finca Sa Vinyota, 5 hectares at Finca Es Velar, and 22 hectares at Finca Son Boi). With all these, we continue our mother's legacy, maintaining absolute respect for the land, our viticultural traditions, and the native grape varieties.
