Bucolic wine.
In 1886, Quintín Muelas Carrión established himself in Tordesillas at No. 3 Santa María Street, the very same place where we continue to craft our wines today. He began winemaking activities dedicated to producing fortified wines, which continued until the mid-1960s. Even after viticultural production ceased, Quintín Muelas Pascual maintained the production of fortified wines using the vats inherited from his father.
The winery as we know it today resumed its journey on April 19, 1989, thanks to the fourth generation of the family. They began producing young white wines and aged red wines. To achieve this, they replanted the vineyards on the same soils used by the founder: the La Josa estate, located in the Cristo area, where Verdejo was planted; and the La Almendrera estate, located in the Peña area, where Tempranillo was planted.
Today, production has diversified. We produce young white wines, whites aged on lees, and fortified whites; rosé wines; young and aged red wines; and our most innovative product, Velay, the first vermouth from Valladolid.
We continue to work and research to offer wines of exceptional quality through limited productions, rigorous field selection, and the dedication and care we put into every step of the winemaking process.
It is a source of pride to continue crafting wines in the same winery where my great-great-grandfather began 130 years ago. We offer you a product made with dedication and care, preserving the old traditions passed down from generation to generation, while incorporating new techniques for perfection. My sister and I remain excited with each harvest, thrilled with every visit, and eager to produce new wines. Because in my family, the passion for winemaking is inherited, and we strive to share it with every visitor.
