High production wineryHoyos de Bandama winery is in the wine region area of Gran Canaria
Founded in 1758 by the Coba family, it was renovated in 2007 by the
founder’s descendants, the Delgado de la Coba family.
Viñas & Vinos Hoyos de Bandama is currently the largest winery in
Gran Canaria, with a production of 120,000 bottles a year.
The winery has its vineyards in Hoya del Alcalde, the heart of
Bandama, and in front of the winery. The terroir of the area (volcanic
ash soil, micro-climates, sunshine and the orientation of the
plantation) generate grapes of exceptional quality for winemaking.
Moreover, advances in vine cultivation and the equipment employed
allow the winery to make wines suitable for ageing in its entire range
of products.
A guide will introduce you to the winery and show you the particularities of Canarian wine.
The Canarian wine, as well as the grape, has some particularities that differentiate it from the wine of the peninsula, in this service you will be able to experience this singularity.
With these presentations, the winery wants to contribute to the expansion of wine culture, one of the three pillars of its mission and philosophy.
