In 1960, the Frutos Villar Group established a winery in Cigales and set its headquarters in this locality. The current facilities are the result of a profound remodeling and expansion carried out between 2000-01, during which the complete renovation of the old production warehouse was done, equipped with stainless steel tanks, cooling and filtering systems, presses, etc., and a new barrel aging warehouse was built. The ancient underground part of the winery is preserved, consisting of a network of tunnels that emerged from the union of various pre-existing cellars, which can be visited, along with the rest of the winery.
